can you post a link? They initially approved of archive.org and were hosted here with much fanfare. but then they asked for them to be removed in late 2003

http://www.archive.org/about/faqs.php#136

if you have more current info please pass it on.

yeah, if you go under phillesh.com (downloads), under etree.org towards the bottom there is a letter from 2005. maybe i read it wrong.

http://phillesh.com/

clicked 'downloads'

I see no mention of DMB on that entire page. copy / paste and link to what you see please.

EDIT:

Oh, I see on this page, which is part of the bit torrent part of etree.org:

http://bt.etree.org/?search=phil%2B&%2Bfriends&cat=0

there is a letter about DMB torrents coming back.

www.etree.org
db.etree.org

are totally different sites then www.archive.org and have different sets of permissions / allowable items. bt.etree.org are temporary torrents of shows. www.archive.org is permanant archiving / libraring of shows.

DMB's 'No thanks' to the Live Music Archive at www.archive.org still stands, to the best of my knowledge.

I even followed up on that note to etree.org to re-ask about LMA, but it was right at the time when some folks were not showing music fandom to best advantage at this site (the recent GD unpleasantness). So, lost cause, likely. :/
